I was at the game this afternoon. Manly did have a weakened side out for the first half and went 20-0 down. They then put their first team on and cut through Quins - though to be fair, in the second half Quins had quite a few 'reserves' on.
All Manly's play in the second half came from the half back, Orford. They are very quick with ball in hand, especially close to the opposition's try line and in the second half consistently stretched the Quins defence out wide.
And they were offside at virtually every play the ball, even after they had managed to slow down the ball carrier in the tackle! How the play the ball is policed next week could be very interesting.
They look like they mean business and we will have to play very well indeed next Sunday. Bring it on.
