After two postponements due to adverse weather the Kevin Parkhouse Memorial Trophy group match between Bentley Good Companions and Toll Bar will take place at Bentley Rec tomorrow ko 2.30pm. The match has in effect become a cup semi final after Moorends qualified for the final last week when drawing 20-20 at Bentley. The Comps only need to avoid defeat (a draw or win will do) to join Moorends in the final.

Bentley G. C. 68-12 Toll Bar
Bentley will face Moorends in the final of the Kevin Parkhouse Memorial Trophy after this demolition of rivals Toll Bar.
Despite having seven regulars missing Bentley showed the strength in depth of the squad as they tore into their opponents from the kick off, orchestrated by superb performances from half backs Wayne Southgate and Steve Smith. Paul Purnell scored in the first minute, and the floodgates opened as Dale Jinks and Michael Rogerson both crossed within ten minutes, and they were followed by Neil Thorne and Andy Downie with a superb individual effort. In a feisty encounter Bentleys Richy Lewis and Toll Bars Allan Langham were sin binned for fighting and Toll Bars John Carr was lucky to stay on the field after twice attempting tripping, but while they were off both Jinks and Purnell grabbed a second, and the contest was effectively over by half time as Craig Whincop coverted five of the tries to give the Companions a 38-0 half time lead.
Purnell crossed for a hat trick straight after half time, and Toll Bar compounded their misery as they were reduced to twelve men, Carl Taylor dismissed for punching. Shane Southgate danced through for a consolation for Toll Bar, David Ford converting but the scoring continued at the other end, Lee Phillipson, Rhys Bailey and Thorne with a second before Steve Mills scored Toll Bars second try again converted by Ford.
Dale Jinks went in for a third to cap a man of the match performance and Scott Smith completed the try scoring, three more Whincop goals giving Bentley a resounding victory.
