Matt that's the quote of the day.
Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence. In other words, it is war minus the shooting. George Orwell

must have been a lot of 'free' tickets or Hull fans.
as for Vikingman's comments, he usually talks sense. Celtic do NOT deserve to be in Super League. You should know that better than anyone.

But they are so why keep going on about them?
They also currently get bigger crowds than you and us.
Their opening results make me fear for them, though... if this is their best shot, early doors, then what happens in a couple of months when they have a few injuries and other teams hot their straps?
It could be that they click and it's ok. But at this point it reminds me too much of our season in SL. 5,000 is a decent crowd, but if they keep losing, how many will keep watching? I know a lot of SL club fans will make a trip to South Wales this time around, but again, once the novelty's worn off it will be below Catalans, London and Edinburgh in the pecking order...
...we'll see. I hope it works. But were I at RLHQ, at this point I'd be concerned.

Whilst it would be better had they started with a home win I was surprised at that attendance to be honest.
It,s all very well however for LeighLeigh to crow about it being a bigger attendance than our opening Superleague(as it then was) fixture but I would remind him that game would not have been played had it not been televised. I bet I wasn,t the only one who thought they had hypothermia that night.
There,s another thing which "expansionists" overlook and that is despite us getting tonked week in and week out we still took lots of supporters to away games.
I understand that CC were sent 100 tickets for their opening game at Salford and returned 96 of them.
Regular viewers of this site willl know I think franchising will fail but if CC don,t finish bottom in Non Relegation League then despite my views of their fast tracking. Then good luck to them.
