I am sorry to say that Leigh legend Mick HOGAN passed away this morning, Mick was one of my 'heros' and all time favurite players.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
R.I.P. Mick

Alf Wilkinson and Tony Cooke went to see Mick in the Nursing home yesterday and reported Mick to be "very ill" It is really sad to hear of his passing this morning. Mick was a larger than life character, a real, natural comedian and a brilliant full back.
Joe Walsh, Billy Kindon and now Mick - a hat trick of legends have now left us recently - may they all rest in peace.

This is very sad news - I knew Mick very well in the '80's, I was Jenny's best friend (his wife at the time) and spent many, many weekends at their house - all 3 of us drunk as a skunk and sleeping where we fell. Great memories. My thoughts are with hs family.
RIP Mick.
Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence. In other words, it is war minus the shooting. George Orwell
There are none so blind as those who will not see.
Best Leigh fullback I ever saw... no disrespect to Niel Turley and Chris Johnson... a great player, a League Champion, and always to live in the hearts and minds of Leythers and RL fans, wherever they may be.
