Its impossible to explain to an alcoholic that he/she has a serious addiction.
Its also impossible to reason with them that perhaps the next time they may want to sit on the ends of the aisles instead of the middle and/or get to their seats before kickoff and not try and find them after kickoff - finding seats eats into drinking time though, that why its impossible to reason with them.
