Good point that is easily forgotten . There were many games that season especially during the unbeaten run where our performances, even against struggling teams ( I remember for instance away to Salford and Catalans game in Narbonne) when we were far from impressive.
The important thing is, as I've said earlier, is to beat what's in front of you. During that run, we also raised our game convincingly against some of the better opposition. Whilst that still remains to be seen for this season, we should be happy with the results so far. The best victories are always those where we come away with a win feeling like there is room for improvement.
Its early days, its cold, its windy and the pitches are rough. We have four points, I'm pretty happy so far. Keep training, keep gelling the new half back partnership, keep developing the young players, its all ingredients for success.
By contrast, over expectation, over- criticism of performances in tough conditions and expectations of world class play every week are ingredients for jittery players and coaches, handling errors, and trying too hard on each play rather than building and sustained pressure.
