I totally agree.
No matter what happens with Warrington, trophies or relegation, I'm a Wire and always will be. I find fans who b1tch on here every time we lose about how they're not supporting us anymore blah blah just really irritating. Either man-up and support the club or go and whinge somewhere else.
Now don't get me wrong, I love a good spout about how rubbish we/certain players are doing but I'm not threatening to leave over it.
I can just hear Jimmy now.... "please don't walk away Oxford Exile. Please support us, we need you".
*Edit* Don't be all offended Oxford Exile, I only used you because of your original post. No insult intended

Yes we were. Clueless in attack and unacceptable in defence. Regulars on here will know I am far from a knee jerk reactioner, but that was appalling.

No offence taken
Warrington need me..more than I need them.
I reckon if everyone that felt like me walked away you would be down to crowds of 6K....see how you get on with the salary cap then.
The fact is me, and people like me have been paying hard earned cash year on year for rubbish on the pitch...without a sniff of success.
High profile players are really taking the mickey at the moment. They couldn't give a toss about this club..our club.
They are more than happy to go home at night with a fat pay packet in their back pocket...after putting in no effort.
So go ahead..take the pi$$ out of me...I couldn't care less...I'll happily walk away and play with my beautiful kids.

Spot on. I am definitely in the optimism camp, but not at the moment.
My worries from last week have all been confirmed this week.

I am on the very edge of stopping being an active supporter. I just can't feel any affinity with the people running the club, the coaches or the type of players we have.
You used to know what to expect from Warrington, win lose or draw.

Whilst I can see your PoV I hope you can understand mine. During the season its as good as a whole weekend I lose to go up there and watch Warrington. As previously stated, its tough to justify when there is an apparent lack of effort on the players behalf.
I am no fairweather fan either (or haven't been in the past at least) I was one of the 1000 that turned up to watch us play Blackpool in the Regal Trophy all them years ago (showing my age). I was also one of the 3,500 that watched us beat Cas at Wilderspool when we looked odds on for the drop.

I'll never walk away from them. However, and this is worse in my view, I'm not sure I really give a toss any more. Not as much as I used to anyway. It's hard to be bothered when some of the players aren't. I used to believe, naively, that regardless of their performance, they'd always give their all. I just feel a bit silly now.

I agree with much of this. I don't agree that bad performance is always down to lack of effort though.
I'm also a Man City fan, but tbh, in the past when they have been relegated and stuff, it has hardly ruined my day never mind my week, whereas Wire losing depresses me. Football has been something to watch to pass the time. RL is my passion.
At the moment, I am like you, I don't really care. I didn't want to go to Saints after the friendly against HKR, and I didn't want to go last night after the Saints game.
I certainly don't want to go to the next game. I'm not even that depressed now, just, well, not bothered...
