The Tim Smith pass to Ainscough was outstanding and was never forward in a million years.

I might be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure the pass came from O'Loughlin

It did come from Locky but those with their "We hate O'Loughlin" glasses on wil not rememer this, as they wont mention the brilliant pass to Goulding for his try either.

Fans go on about Lockers, misses tackles, drops balls etc. If you notice, O'Loughlin's missed tackle come in the last 10/15 minutes. Fans have to remember 1. he's a forward who plays 80 minutes each week so obviously will get tired towards the end of the game, 2. all players spill the ball at some point, 3. last year when Locky got injured our next few games we had many many points scored against us even when we won games proving that his defence was missed, 4. He is highest tackler this year so far....

GET OFF HIS BACK!!

Kick - Granted, his kicking's gone against his past record so far.
Catch a ball - He's let a couple bounce but otherwise looks better under the bomb than Mathers.
Kick return - Mathers doesn't gather the kick and Richards (and I like Pat) has a poor kick return, nearly always nailed by the first tackler.

I would stick Mathers, Roberts, Riddell & Phelps in the reserves. I think all aussie imports and struggling players should have a spell in the reserves, getting to know the northern hemisphere game, the weather, the way Wigan play. Play their way into fitness & form.

Do you watch the Reserves? I assume you don't cos you'd quickly realise there's it provides the right level of competition for the likes of the above. Roberts needs time to adjust, Riddell is not fully fit (in that he's picked up a niggle), Phelps is better than Reserve grade and Mathers is not in Academy grade.

Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.

Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.

Seriously I'm not doubting Riddell & Roberts are bad players. But they turned up towards the end of pre season for one thing and another and they are obviously struggling to acclimatise, put them in the reserves allow them to adjust that way. Not really been impressed with Phelps @ centre I think he is more of a wing man, but now we have have seen the likes of Pryce & Ainscough (if fit), he would struggle getting a game, especially if Roberts is going to play out on the wing as well. As for Mathers, don't really know what to say about the guy TBH. The injuries he had in oz must have really messed with his head cause the guy is gash.
