I don't see what the big thing with Hanley is. Sure he is one of the most coverted players in the game and he has coached a GF winning team. I just can't see him being in it for the long term. If his appointment is to settle the ship and bring some sort of respect back from the players and fans well maybe a good idea. IMO 18 months and he would be on his way onto a new venture. I would like to be proved wrong and he turns out be the guy that turn the players around into a champion team.

Oh I'm not saying he should stay, just that it's a bad time to be looking for a top class coach. I don't know much about Hanley's links to the board or whatever, just wondering if everyone's sure he would take the job. If not, who else is available? It's a bit of a mess for any coach to be walking into, since there'd be so little scope for getting your own players in, working on your own patterns etc.

You know what, I'm tired of all this.

Out of loyalty we all support the appointment of someone who has never done the job before, nor carried anywhere near the weight of responsibility of coaching a potential Top 4 club, then we see our booty when it all goes wrong.

The board appoint the coach. The board have made another mistake.

Look further up the organisation at why we are moribund.

We need some one to conduct a clear out and some one to instill discipline and proffessionalism.

The only man with the balls to do the job properly is IMO Ellery Hanley.

Why would he have to have a clear out, surely if Hanley gains so much respect the players themselves should be disciplined and professional enough to change.

the big thing is he is not Lowes to be honest the board have to act now get a new coach , i do not think the club can sustain another bad run over the next few weeks or numbers will dwindle , and in this economic climate not the place to be
