Let me firstly say that I am writing this on behalf of a pal who isn't registered to this site but will undoubtedly read this.
It was glaringly evident from the game last night and the pre-match warm up where our underlying problem lies.
Before the game, the backs practise their warm-ups and passing routines which ultimately see our wingers touch down. Each of the players then commend the "scorer" during the warm up for his "try".
Similarly, Stuart Fielden runs at pace into an empty space, alas, he is unable to repeat this when the game starts.
The obvious error being the warm up doesn't actually have an opposition.
So, when we come to play the game, we find it much harder to score.
The warm up routines obviously confuse the bone-heads in the team unfamiliar with the basic rules and requirements of the game when they spy the sudden appearance of opposition players attempting to stop us scoring.
