Well, I hope that old Dougie is just a figurehead, but the way our club is run it wouldn't surprise me if he was involved because it has all the farcical touches of an inept politician, which is what Dougie actually is, or at least, was.
tbh we should give him the whole season instead of changing theres no relegation if finishing way in the bottom half is what it takes for this board to realise things need changing in not only the coaching but the players then so be it
Quote:"I spoke with Simon (Moran) via email this morning to register our interest and he informs me he was looking at another option initially but would certainly get back to us," said Fordham, who is using an English agent to help Folkes look for opportunities.
That option is believed to be caretaker coach James Lowes, a former British Test hooker who has been Cullen's assistant.
He is currently working as the physio for the West Indies cricket team so I hope he is still interested in coaching in the UK.
If he is though, whats the betting that Wigan get in first and get him, or Hanley or Edwards or whoever is the best coach available, so we then hear again that we had to settle for a mediocre appointment because there just wasn't anybody suitable.
The week Paul Cullen quit, Steve Folkes contacted the club to express his interest:

In a way I feel sorry for Lowes as he was thrown in at the deep end with Cullens team. Honeymoon period over, board made the appointment too early and we are now paying the price. Bookies favourite for for the chop, must be evens with Noble at present.
Stick some money on Noble quickly, announcement on Monday

Lowes and Noble are both products of the Bulls way of playing, and it is boring and ineffective.
A coach should at least be able to engender some pride and spirit in the team. There is none apparent in that shambles tonight.
A lot of that team are taking the money under false pretences!
