Get Lockyer signed up now, I would rather get rid of Bailey, Phelps, Smith and use all the money we can to sign him, no way on this earth would we have lost our first 3 if he was playing for us. Plus we would be challenging for honours.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Even he would struggle the way we play
Give Lockyer runners and he will show his class
Put Lockyer in our Wigan side atm and he will struggle because he will have no options
The prospect of him playing with and mentoring Sam Tomkins is a pretty mouthwatering thought

Its up to the 6 and 7 to get runners and if they dont give them a rocket, same with the captain, Lockers should be louder and more authoitive. The captain should be balling and shouting to get his team doing what they want, how many times did we look clueless last night with no runners and noone wanted it? Props taking a drive up the middle on the 4th tackle WTF?
Sign Lockyer and give him the captains armband!

If they don't practice with runners and set moves in training how the hell can you expect them to improvise it in a game
I think if we would have had more runners in 07 and 08 we would of seen an even better Trent Barrett as he had to rely on his running game more which teams had sussed out by 08
Get rid of Coley, Mathers, Bailey, Phelps and maybe even Smith and get in some top quality talent at 6 and play the youngsters and get a world class prop in.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

We could have a team like that and we would not be wasting money on too many overseas players.
8 players from the academy and also 2 English players.
and maybe 5-6 overseas depending on who the replacements were.

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that Bird's management has been in discussions with the Super League club, in a bid to gain a backdoor entry to the competition.
The move is intended for Bird to bypass visa restrictions that have blocked him from entering the UK and taking up a three-year deal with English Super League club Bradford.

winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911.
