Ten years ago he coached Saints to the GF win but hasn't really coached at the top level of the domestic game since. How long was he at Saints? Just over a year? He then lasted a month or two at Castleford a few years ago and although he did a very good job at Doncaster last season, this was at NL2 level.
All in all less than three years coaching exprience in the last 10 years.
Does he have any less experience now than he did when he took the Saints job? (and won the title)

To be fair i thought Betts would of made a very good coach had we stuck with him. We certainly were not too far off under him. The trouble is Millward became available and nobody can blame Lindsay and Whelan for getting Millward in.
