As for Ainscough, superb young talent. Similar to Carney and Dallas (when we challenged to win things!). Hope he gets a good run in the team, but I'd put my money on Noble dropping him and bringing in Phelps when he's fir again.
You can see the Wigan lads play with their hearts on their sleeves when they get picked. The desire to win is there.
Something interesting also that I heard on SL extra last night:
Stevo: It is widely known that Wigan haven't replaced Barrett
Eddie: They haven't replaced Andy Farrell either..
CHERRY AND WHITE IT'S IN OUR BLOOD ANCIENT & LOYAL UNTIL WE DIE
One word to describe Ainscough last night AWESOME I am glad to see a winger who has the confidence to back himself on the outside, and have the ability score. This is what we have been lacking. Keep it up Shaun. Don't ever lose that confidence. He is going to be a great.
IL don't let the RU or anyone else poach him.
Now we just need Sam to get a shot next week.
I wonder if he wud have bin given a chance if pat n phelps had played i think not under this coach it was his debut and scoring made it a great nite for the kid good luck to him lets hope he gets more run outs.

I think last nights performance by Ainscough might have paved the way for S. Tomkins. He proved that the younger players are good enough, hungry enough and most importantly read to step into our team. Another thing get Pat back at Full back & Phelps, Riddell, Roberts & Mathers will never get a game again for me.

The same Roberts we just signed on a 4 year deal? I he's as bad as you think we've got a bloke sat on his 'arris collecting 4 years' wage for jack.
Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.

The guy so far this year is a joke, we should drop him into the academy teach him, how to tackle, kick, and catch a ball. When he does catch the ball he just walks into the arms of the chasers. The guy is crap. another has been who will probably keep either Ainscough or Pryce out when Richards comes back. Sack him now or drop into the reserves untill he is up to speed I couldn't care less just keep him away from the first team.

Another point from last night was Ainscoughs disallowed try in the first half was never forward. I saw the replay three times after the game.
That pass didn't even look dubious! Perfectly good try ruled out.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Agreed, but to be honest with Roberts kicking record he should have kicked a few of the ones his missed last night.
The Tim Smith pass to Ainscough was outstanding and was never forward in a million years.
