I remember Offiah celebrating once and he got a rollocking. Never did it again though.
In that position though I think i'd have milked it like f*ck, but the lad will learn i'm sure.

Anyone remember Hanley 'taking the p*ss' as he was scoring the winner in the British Coal Nines at Central Park. He ran to the try line, then suddenly stopped and gave his ar$e a wiggle and was promptly caught five metres from the line, only after five seconds of tussling did he manage to dive over the line with the ball.....thus saving his embarrassment!

As a 18 year old on debut?
The lad backed himself something few of our players seem to do and had confidence, i would rather him back himslef and score and us lose for his long term career than see him put the ball inside and us win.
If Noble has a pop at him for backing himslef then the entire ethos of players with flair and confidence may as well die today.
Confidence is the key. Something non of our players currently have.
According the the radio Tomkins should have played the percentage and passed when he scored. I love the fact that they had the confidence to go for it.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

I agree about backing yourself one on one, but not if you have men inside. It is a team game afterall.
oh my god seriously get a grip, this lad has a fantastic debut does nothing wrong in his performance yet people still find one stupid little thing of pointing his finger in the air in celebration when he scored his brilliant individual try to moan about?
People on here would find something to moan about if they won a billion pounds on the lotto - its painful & embarrassing to read!!

I tend to find it is the Noble supporters that are picking fault.
I have no doubt Brian Noble will do the same.

shaun deserved man of the match............ but sadly i have no faith in noble keeping him in the team once the others are fit..or unbanned...........i feel he should be given a chance.
as for those moaning about him celebrating to early....why not? the lad was scoring his first try in his debut game for his HOMETOWN club....give the lad a break ffs.
Only word whats sums the lad tonight up is awesome
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
