A coach has to be right for a club. Millward was wrong for Wigan because of his personality, and history, just as Hanley may have been for Saints, despite his success.
It does not mean that Hanley would not be good for Wigan.
Do you not think Hanley's personality is going to be the exact same at Wigan, He's still going to rub people up the wrong way. Does it also not worry you, that he's quit/been sacked from every club hes been at?

Every caoch quits or is sacked in the end. He has been successfull at both clubs he has been coach.
Noble keeps indicating there are players with issues and ego's at the club, who should deal with those? I personally think Hanley is the man to deal with the ego's as he is the biggest of all and he will have the respect of the players because of his reputation, not sure Noble ever did have that on his side and as time has passed his coaching and tactics have been exposed as poor in my opinion.

There are no guarantees, Hanley would do this though, Some of the players at Wigan have been through a number of coaches and have shown no signs of change, also some of the new guys have a history of problems, Riddell for example didnt turn up to a training camp due to being intoxicated. Hanley also failed to control the players he signed at Saints, namely Trindall and Adamson.

There are no guarentees, but i have suggested options.
To turn it on you, as you are keen to pick fault, what is you answer to the coaching issue?

You are keen to pick fault with Noble, Im just questioning your idea that Hanley would perform much better. I don't think there many/if any better options out there at the minute. I'm of the opinion it would be very harsh for you to sack Noble after 3 games.
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
Can't quite understand the fixation with Hanley. His coaching credentials are pretty limited, in that he took over Mcrae's side, won the Grand Final, and was sacked not long after.
I assume that it is to do with his supposed Wigan credentials. Blood and thunder can get you a long way in rugby league, and Farrel and Edwards might demand that you die for the cause, but if you quizzed Ellery, I wonder where his loyalties lie? I suspect it would be with Leeds. Even at the height of his fame, I think he stayed in Leeds, living in the same block of flats as Jimmy Saville in Roundhay Park. So if he is still a Leeds lad at heart, what would he bring to Wigan except a drain on your bank account.
Personally, I would love to see Edwards back in rugby league, and he is a guy who expect his men to give everything for the Wigan cause. I just can't help feeling though that Huddersfield beat you to that button with Nathan Brown, and I reckon he will bring the biggest turn around this year.

?
So what you are saying despite being beaten by 3 of the poorest teams in the comp last year, we should not pick fault.
I have expressed mu opinions on the coaching situation and backed them up, yet to see anyone else offer a valid opinion why he should stay apart from..........saved us from relegation (debatable)......won trophies with Bradford......congrats 1 club wonder.
You criticise me hoping for Hanley but offer no defence of Noble or other options.
If you do i look forward to it, to continue the conversation.
