In answer to the original question no one knows. We can only speculate. You would have to ask the players. To be honest tonight they didn't look like a team that didn't want to play. Tonight's loss wasn't through a lack of effort just a pure lack of quality. Only people on our team that looked like doing any damage were Ainscough and Feka.

There appeared a divide in the side on a couple of occasions tonight after we scored tries. When Pryce scored he walked back to his position virtually 50 - 60 yards without a Wigan player anywhere near him, as did Fielden in the first half when Lulu scored

Maybe they don't want to play for the fans, afterall all that seems to happen is that the fans just slag them off and boo them...

how does he coach tim smith how to tackle?
how does he coach o'loughlin how to keep a rugby ball in play?
how does he coach o'loughlin to stop giving away penalties?
how does he coach o'loughlin to stop missing daft tackles?
simple as, he cant, these are schoolboy errors which players learn at under 8's! it is just poor individual play what is letting us down.

How does he coach our defence to move forward? How does he coach Coley to not lead with the ball carrying arm?etc etc etc
He drops them and/or works on there skills he has had 2 years to do it but yet we still see no improvement and we see good players become poor players the moment they sign for us.

Get over yourselves, just accept your not the team you used to be, last 5 games we have played you, record, Cas 3 Wins, Wigan 1 win, 1 draw, and that includes us finishing bottom of the table in the seasons when 4 of the games took place,
If we are 'not a good team' then what the heck are you, at least give teams some credit, that is why most fans of every other side in super league have an issue with wigan fans, living in the past.
accept that you were beaten by a better team on the night, not a poor team, and you might earn a bit more respect from the opposition.
