How many times have they said Noble has control over who is in the squad? If it was Lenegan who picked the team, do you really think he'd leave out the youngsters, when in the pre-season he's been going on about how we will be using them?
Father Ted wrote:If we lose tonight then sack Lenagan, this appears to be more Lenagan's squad than Noble's. Since when did Noble only go with three experienced props in his squad? Answer, since he came to Wigan!
And who was in charge when Noble came? It's got nothing to do with Lenegan.

it really does my head in all the years I've watched Wigan (since 1977) a lot of fans have felt the need to have a 'boo boy', someone no matter what they do will never gain the respect of certain Wigan fans, Mathers and Noble are the latest
Get off their backs, show some support and get behind the lads offering encouragment instead of being so bloody negative all the time

How many times recently, like last Friday, have Saints come from behind? You can hold them for 40-60 mins but in the end they wear teams down and over run them. They create that space the halves and backs need to put the score on the board. After all, how many tries does Gardner score from 40 mtrs out? He scores the vast majority from 20ish mtrs, the ground and space been provided by the front row and having a class centre. Until we have a front row with four big experienced props we won't make that ground we need to give space for the tries to be scored. Last week Fielden, Feka & Eamon were excellent, but we needed another good hardworking prop. Hull's front row were always taking the game to us rather than the other way round. Until Ian Lenagan signs the props we need we will not make top spot. No use blaming Noble, Lenagan decides how much money is to be spent.

No.

Evidently you think we should however I disagree. Noble can turn this side around but to improve on the consistency we need to look at the problems we have (Ball retention, utlising tactics correctly etc.) and improve on them in the best possible manner. I think the hiring of Hanley as a coach/mentor would be a good step as he could progress to the top job over the next few years, offer us a different style of play that Noble can use to improve his overall tactics and if we have Hanley perfoming the plays on the training ground and leading us on the field on the training pitch it can help to enhance the leading abilities of our senior players on the pitch to know what to do if it's not going smoothly.

We do, but we don't have a god given right to win every game. We need to improve or look at alternative methods to help us improve, firing Noble though is a weak decision for me.

sack him. as a manager, if my team performed so badly and i had to explain to the company why after being set certain targets i didnt meet them, i would be sacked no matter what was happening within the squad of players.
you can only blame the players so much although common sensically you would blame them but at the end of the day he has to go cos he is the one who calls the shots.
