Mixed blessing IMO.

From experience of when Sir Rodney held the same post, it doesn't always mean that you get favouritism towards you - in fact they sometimes have to distance themselves to show they're being un-biased.

You could be right on the WC though! :)

That’s all we need for sport in England is someone who has the same vision as our politics - invest elsewhere. If say like an area like Widnes really badly needed some sport equipment I won’t hold my breath for the sport of England to fund them. It will all go to some welsh club near Cardiff in stead. And if the sporting talent is anything to go by what my sister is saying then its all heading to Wales.

A sad day to be an Englishman. This establishment will soon be called Sport Europe then sport world.
