Not surprised in the slightest - Lowes has hinted many times he doesn't rate Penny.
Personally, I'm gutted. All this guff being spouted about sending him off to NL1 to improve his game!! He's a far better all round player than he was when he was running in tries for fun in his first few games. The difference since is quite simple - he get's no support in defence and little or no running opportunities with the ball.
I hope all the "supporters" who've slated him are quite happy now. Look at our backline, we've little or no pace as it is, we'll be even less a threat on Saturday. A potential 3/4 line of Hicks, Gleeson, King and Johnson won't exactly have Catalans quivering over their coffee, croissant and vegemite on Saturday morning.
"phil ford, he's a bit of a stepper
replacing hugh wardell, in jumper no. 15 it's brian case
oooh and he does a bit of a boogie
gregory and gregory, sounds like a firm of solicitors

Good job Catalan are looking to be light in the forwards. Something we might win on the pitch on saturday.
is lowes trying to turn us into bradford of a few years ago?
the success would be nice but the thought of us trundling it up the middle and just trying to bulldoze teams aside isn't a prospect to relish.
back to more pressing matters,we need to find a space on here for "escape goat",it's the most uplifting picture i've ever seen

Correctamundo 'tache - it's gonna be 5 drives and a kicktastic all season.
As for EscapeGoat, surely got to be the new mascot
