Cracking idea. As well as being an FC fan, i'm also a Derby County fan. Anyway, Derby did the same thing a couple of months back before the Man Utd league cup semi final first leg. It looked awesome seeing a sea of black and white scarves being held/swund in the air.
I've no doubt it'd look just as impressive if we did it too. The only problem is slowly but surely, people begin to lose/forget their scarves so the number on show decreases by the game until eventually it looks like one or two idiots swinging a scarf round.
A grand idea all the same though.
