But the point is, you started this thread .
It’s clear you have some underlying problem with W.T.R.L.F.C, as does your sidekick. My question is why?
Have you started a thread on every clubs recruitment from the NRL, no, just Wakefield’s for some reason. You appear to have a major ‘downer’ on a specific club and it would be therapeutic for you to get it off your chest, before it eats you up from within.
But whatever it is, you need to let it go, and enjoy what appears to be a promising season for the team you follow, and as an added bonus, you don’t have to worry about relegation this year .
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in. They're eating the cats! They're eating the pets!

It is sooo funny. Delightfully so.
Is this the same vastman who suggested he was 'moving on' back on page 10? As ever true to your word.

Most threads are started by someone. That's how these forum work.
Your analysis of me is quaint. Are you trying to be deep and insightful? Well done. I am sure somebody will think you a clever chap. Maybe you can find other message boards were people play at being therapists. However on this issue of rugby league i think it is regrettable that a club with £100K in a market with several players in it opts for a NRL reserve grader. Your fellow wakey fans think it a good thing and do not like an alternative view...well boo hoo.

Name 3 openly transfer listed RL forwards of FW's quality.
There is no-one about!!!
We have a policy of buying british, we have a larger number of local lads in our team Vs Hudd, and i dare say a few better prospects than any local lads in your ranks. Jay Pitts for one my friend.
However when times need you must buy, and due to VERY unfortunate things happening to players (namely forwards) at our club we have been forced to make a signing which will give our squad greater depth, and of course quality otherwise why waste the money?
Why you feel the need to take out your own issues with the home office through slagging off another team is beyond me.

I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud

Can I introduce you to The Devil's Advocate....you share a need to play at therapist.
I am not sure where the 'fire' is at wakefield. You knew several forwards were leaving at the end of 08. Then Adam Watene died four months ago. That is a lot of lead time up to 2009. Moore has this horrible illness and Scully is on the mend. You have plenty of money in the pot but seemed to want to get Bird - even though you are strong in the halves / 13.
Players are not 'openly' transfer listed. but they are still being touted around and some SL clubs have cap pressures to deal with.
However this is incidental. signing an Oz reserve grader when you claim to have so many talented locals is a dire option.

he's obviously forgotten he started the thread, and your correct in your assumptions that he does have a problem with the constant barracking of trinity, you only have to look at his posts to see that he's obsessed in the demise of our team , which is pretty sad for a so called rugby fan that can spout out that the birth place or RL was huddersfield
I care not to even reply anymore to your bitter replies Marsdengaint, your becoming a bore with your constant drivel its not even banter now :SLEEPY:

But surely you would have welcome Bird with open arms as he is not an NRL reserve grader, you're tripping yourself up here cos now you're slating us for being in the market for a so called quality player! Are you sure there's no hidden agenda here?
4 months in rugby league terms is not a lot of time, most players have contracts sorted out long before their existing ones expire, I know this to be fact through knowing plenty of super league players and their families. Adam passed away in October, the last thing the club wanted to do was sign a direct replacement, the first thing on their minds was the welfare of Adam's family and his team mates, everyone had to come to terms with his sudden passing from the tea lady to the club chairman not to mention his poor family. In effect we probably had two months at the most to try and replace the big man. Stosics signing was made before Adams passing but the club thought it would be disrespectful to announce it as it would have looked like he was a replacement when in fact he had been signed to play alongside him. With the injury and illness crisis that has hit the club we needed to sign a player to bolster our pack as we cannot expect the likes of Bibb and Pitts to be playing week in week out at 18/19 years of age, how many other prop forward/back rowers do this at their age? The youngsters need blooding gradually otherwise they risk burning out at an early age. How long has it taken Fielden to regain his form and still he is a shadow of his former self. It may not be an ideal signing but probably a much needed one.

And you spend 10 years in SL and are still signing NRL reserve graders. Pitiful.
Glad you came on here to tell us you did not want to reply

You obviously have trouble thinking. You confuse seperate points either out of stupidity or necessity or both.
I think it a dire step for an established SL team to resort to signing reserve graders from Oz. The Bird reference was to point out you have plenty of cash and that he is not a prop second rower that some wakey fans seem so desperate for. Seperate points see HTH
