Does anyone else think he has lost too much weight in the off season?

I noticed him against Huddersfield pre season game that he looked to have trimmed down a lot and he did look more on his toes that previously.

BUT....

The two opportunities against Hull he should have scored, more so the second one, he didnt seem to have enough weight behind him to force his way over the line.

Can he not take some of Fekas excessive 2 stone

I guess we'll find out on Friday. He'll almost certainly be playing, and will be up against some pacy backs.

Can't believe he hasnt taken any Flak for that 2nd one!

I expected to come on the boards and see 20 pages castigating him for it!

He should have scored! It was a Shocker
Not seen a replay yet of the 1st one but it looked like he should have scored that as well.

Bailey would have scored them!

Other than that he didn't have a bad game against Yeaman.

Two opportunities that should have won us the game.

He has lost wight but his pace doesn't seem to have increased in proportion.

And his tackling effort for Hulls last try was Mathersesque.

I feel that defence has always been Goulding's biggest weakness.

He is one youngster who can NOT claim that he 'never had a chance at Wigan'. He was given a first team shirt last year, but often his performances were less than adequate.

I still think he's got loads of potential, and I desperately hope - for his sake as well as ours - that he soon fulfills it. But deep down I'm starting to fear we may have another Aspinwall on our hands.

I'm sorry to have to agree with you.

I have been saying this for a while, he simply lacks anything to put him into that good SL player bracket. He is not exceptionally strong, he is not big, he is not blessed with great pace, does not have wonderful skills etc etc.

Hindsite is a wonderful thing but i think we allowed the wrong player to leave when we let Gleeson join Wakefield, he has a skill set way above anything i have seen from Goulding and has the ability to open up space for his wingman.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Jonh,
The reasons Gleeson was let go were not entirely Rugby related.

Correct, it was because of his gingerness.
