Poor excuse im afraid.

Lowes had all winter to prepare the lads properly and he failed.

Thats a few mistakes Jimmy has admitted to, ie poor prep for catalans away last year and then also laying into the lads after a poor home defeat.

How many more mistakes is he allowed to make?

To be Honest it was expected for 50 minutes v saints they had no answer to us but when they upped the pace of the game we fell away.

Remember 90% of that team played what maybe 40 minutes in one pre season game which jimmy now admits he got wrong.

The other pre season games where played by the younger lads no the seasoned pros.

Terrible prep for the first game of the season maybe the coaching staff where scared of picking up injuries in pre season so never played the top players in most.

So now the guys have blew away any the cob webs maybe we will se 80 minutes of football v catalan we all will see sat.

we never see 80 mins of footy from our lads.

they either slack off in the first half or the second.

Fair play to Jimmy.
He's straight with his answers and I've got a lot of respect for him because of that.

I will have that everyone makes mistakes but there seems to be an excuse for everything. I thought that there was now a no excuse policy. After the match it was " we should have won" - well why should we when we can not play for 80 mins.
Last year he adopted a siege mentality/no one likes us - that failed terribly. In my opinion and its only my opinion Lowes and especially Monas and King can not take criticsm.
They moaned about fans booing at matches, they stated that they were not playing for the fans but themselves and they moaned when critiscised by fans away from the match ( i agree there is a way to do and not do this) .They alienanted fans who could not afford or get the time off or simply did not want to go to the play off at Catalans.
I am sick of hearing excuses.

He's admitted that. Probably the only coach in super league who has the balls to admit it. Every week last season he opened himself up to these interviews and still is doing now, we should be embracing his honestly and should be backing him 100%. We've not played as well as we did in that first half for some time and credit has to go to Jimmy for that.

Last year we had Cullen who had a blinded belief that his way was right & no room for any other.

We now have a coach who admits he's not perfect & is looking to learn from his mistakes. Jimmy's starting to grow on me.

I'm with you, Steve...

I will have that to a degree , but we have had we are learning from our mistakes since i started going the matches in 88. At least Cullen was passionate about the club and the speccies and very aimable when you met him. I just can not see that with Lowes unfortunatley. However others may have a different view.
