I've got loads of memories from back then....but one of my favourites has to be the pre season friendly with Rervers.
David Baildon linked up with Fili Seru down the Threepenny Stand side late in the second half to run the length of the field.
I also remember the first game of the 1999 season - Gilmour scoring a hatrick as Wigan smashed us at Central Park (and I got salmonella off a pork pie i ate on the bus over there!)
All in all a terrible couple of seasons resultswise - but looking back it was a great feeling to be in the Super League after the years in the wilderness.

my mate did an all we went to blackpool after the game but he stayed in cos the chicken and magic mushroom pie didnt agree with him

Ironic thing was, it actually appeared that he lost the ball going over the line being tackled by Jon Adams IIRC correctly, so it could (and probably should) have been a costly premature celebration.
