Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

I did get that email, but It wasn't sent to my main email address, I can't think of when I gave the club my alternate email address but checked it for the first time today and had that email and also saw 1 from last saturday telling the bulls game was off.

Great offer from the club, just a shame that it isn't being sent to all email addresses.

* I am aware that the club has had difficulties compiling one large database of fans' emails, perhaps this has affected it somehow

Hello all,

I have just spoken to Emily Wise at Quins and she has asked that I post this on the forum.

The reason that some people may not have received this or any other emails is that the club don't have email addresses for all season ticket holders. Emily has asked that you email her directly with your email address and she will add you to the mailing list straight away.

If you are a season ticket holder and believe that the club should already have your email address please also drop Emily an email and she will make sure you are on the list.

Email emilyw@quins.co.uk

"As a Harlequins Rugby League Season Ticket Holder you will be aware that nothing beats live rugby league at the Twickenham Stoop. The friendly atmosphere, afternoon long entertainment and unrivalled facilities make it the perfect day out for families and friends.

The team "off the field” at Harlequins Rugby League are working hard to introduce new people and families to the rugby league experience through various marketing initiatives.

We would like to involve you, our valued season ticket holders, and offer you the chance to win five places in a private box.

For our game against Wigan Warriors, which is on Saturday 28th February, we would like to offer you the chance to buy up to 4 tickets for only £10 each (normal price £20). We'd love you to use these great value tickets to a) introduce your friends and work colleagues to experience rugby league at the Stoop for the first time or b) to bring friends and family with you for a day out.

As a thank you, you will then be personally entered into a prize draw with the chance to win an upgrade for you and your four friends to enjoy the Wigan game in a private box. We'll also enter your friends into prize draw to win a Harlequins home ‘Rugby League’ shirt signed by the squad, and presented at half time during the Wigan match.

In return we would ask that you temporarily register your friends details at the Harlequins Rugby League website. We do promise that we will contact your friends only once after the Wigan match with the hope that they would like to continue hearing from Harlequins Rugby League. If they say no, we will not keep their details on any database.

To take advantage of this great offer, simply call the Harlequins Rugby League Ticket Office on 0871 527 1315, quote you customer number ‘1234567’ and we will post the tickets out to you. This offer closes at 5pm on Wednesday 25th February to enable us to get the tickets to you by the weekend. Just remember to also provide the necessary details at Harlequins Rugby League website.

On a last note, if have not done so already, don’t forget we have a friendly match against Manly Sea Eagles on Sunday 22nd February at 3.00pm. To find out more about this game, our Super League fixtures and other club information, visit our www.league.quins.co.uk website at or call 0871 527 1315 to purchase tickets.

Thank you for your continued support of Harlequins Rugby League."

I am sure this idea first came to light in 2004, but I can't be buggered looking back that far in my sent items folder.
From next year onwards, I would suggest that 5 x 1/2 price ticket vouchers for specific rounds (selected after the fixtures are released)should be sent to every ST holder as a matter of course.
Good on the club for this!

The club should also sell books of tickets for packaged games like a special big 6 season ticket for the games against Leeds saints Bradford Wigan hull and warrington
And a teams that should be merged for the betterment of sl package. Salford Huddersfield hull kr Wakefield castleford
