Quote:Fans of Hull FC and Hull Kingston Rovers are being invited to take part in RL Factor, the opening event of the Richard Horne Testimonial.
Auditions, under the control of local showman Johnny Paterson, are to be held on Tuesday 24th February at Springhead Public House, Aston Road, off Willerby Road, from 7.00pm.The song contest, which is fast approaching a 1,000-plus capacity sell out, is already being graced by a host of Hull FC and Rovers players, plus Sky Tv’s Barrie McDermott, the former Great Britain and Ireland prop forward.
Horne explained: “Our basic aim throughout the year-long Testimonial is to provide enjoyment for the fans.
“So our musical co-ordinator, Johnny Paterson, has created the opportunity for a number of supporters from both sides of the river to stretch their vocal chords on the City Hall stage rather than in the KC or Craven Park stands.”
Johnny Paterson added: “We are looking for fans with good singing voices to represent their club, not karaoke volunteers! The RL Factor has captured the public’s attention and we will be rehearsing with both the players and the chosen fans to present an entertaining opening event for Horney’s Testimonial.”
Tickets for the RL Factor on Monday 6th April, priced £12 and £15, are available exclusively from Hull City Hall Box Office.
