It did end up in a try but that was against Wire wasn't it? IIRC

Sounds like Rd 4 of 1997 alright. Iestyn Harris' debut off the bench. Only McDermott didn't play in that one.

Yeah Wire it was. He ran diagonally across the left side of the sticks, of the East stand. That would have made a good 'What Happened Next' clip.

Speaking of tries against Wire, difficult to beat the one Harvey Howard scored where he basically left stud tracks all over Jonathan Davies in the process. Can't remember the year, but seem to recall Wire having that horrible green and white striped away kit that made them look like a Pacer.

I think that was this one:

22nd January 1995..... Leeds 30 Warrington 0. It was the same game that Craig Innes scored four opposite Warrington's right centre...... Iestyn Harris.

I’m struggling to remember the Leeds Met game on Sunday let alone what happened over a decade ago.

I don’t know how you guys do it?

I see your Davies embarrassment tale and raise you Kevin Iro slapping him all along the touchline down the Southstand and an ageing David Heron playing him off the park at stand off a few years earlier and getting 2 tries.
