The faster and more inventive the play the more difficult to referee .
Sadly we made the game all too easy to referee with easily anticipated play and errors any REF could see what was happening before it occurred .

Nowt to do with the REFs lads, its down to our play and actions , MOUTHING at them DOES NOT HELP one bit on the pitch and the idiot in question is making a profession of it for Cougars.
If HE played HIS game he wouldnt have the breath to MOUTH off at anybody.
Gives at least 4 penalties away per game GUESS who it is ??>

Enlighten us !!!! :WHISPER:

I agree about getting at refs or indeed not doing so, it is tough, but it did seem that there was a massive inbalance. i.e. if it was a forward pass then fine dont give the try, but why then allow Blackpool to throw a forward pass. But thats a minor criticism. The bigger problem was the number of head shots and swinging arms from Blackpool, yes its a tough game, yes there is always the odd mis timed lunge, or grapple that becomes a head lock, but time and time again in came the swinging arms. Greg was taken out very early and not so much as a sniff of a yellow card.

What angers me about high tackles is not that people get away with it so much although that is clearly wrong, but you could actually break someones jaw, pop their eye socket, bust their neck etc. That is why they are illegal. That is why they need to be stamped on from the outset of any game. The ref on Sunday failed to protect the lads who would most likely be out of work if they broke their jaw. That is where the ref and linesmen failed.

By all means miss the odd knock on and wind us up a little but at least protect the players.

And how Jermaine constantly gets clobbered for high tackles is beyond me. He must have quite a spring in his step to make a high tackle.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

Not getting drawn again Andy , you do attend games and do watch, .
you know bloody well what the crack is .

I see trouble ahead as the old song goes .

Reborn i take it even as a Welshman you 've never actually played Rugby.
I dont see head shots so much as too much player protection and misinterpretation of rules.
Damn difficult to inflict a lot of damage in the circumstances prevailing today ,the OLD style head shot was very dangerous, nobody rarely even thinks about trying for it in these days and oddly enough for the very reasons you quote .
Lets get back to just supporting the team and EACH OTHER.

For Andy who needs something, the player in question is the obvious MR LOWE who at best is a loose cannon and potentially destructive.
Id clobber the bloke rather than play with him.

If he ever becomes a TEAM player we might see something from him.

I think that whilst mouthing at ref is wrong its a natural reaction when the ref is allowing so many headshots without punishment frustration eventually has to be released.
