Actually you don't quite get it. My post was made prior to the Lockyer post being merged into here, and had nothing to do with that particular rumour.
One of them calls us 'clueless', and in the same breath reckons Lockyer is too old for Saints. He's somewhat clueless himself where the average age of Saints' other star players is concerned.

I love a good RL debate but some haven't got a clue. I wish we could open up a site that was by invitation only, because some idiots (on all sites) just get in the way of serious discussion.
What eventually happens is that good posters then just give up.

Myler is contracted to Salford till the end of the 2010 season, so Lockyer in for 2010 & 2011, Myler in for 2011, Tomkins and Myler playing inside Lockyer for 2011 depending on form and injury, Tomkins and Myler partnership from 2012 on. IFL please take note, its as simple as that

cant see it happening though! we'll plump for another aussie
I like most other sane Wigan fans would support a move for Lockyer - but as far as I can tell this is a rumour that as yet has absolutely no substance.
to all off you wigan fans who want myler how many games have you seen this lad play.i am a salford fan and have seen him 1 st hand excellent in nl1 last year albeit against very poor oppostition apart from celtic.in 2 games against super league oppostion not that good against hull kr a wigan lad called stefan ratchford changed the game and now cant get in the team if you want a half back to play alongside tomkins go for this lad because in my opion mcrae doesny like stefan.he also tore k eastmond apart for the 21s on sunday.

I would like to see, although i know it never will as every club would challenge it and it would be a nighmare to sort contracts for players out, a system where in certain positions identified on a 5 year cycle for example are given double quota status.
Positions that are dominated by Aussies and are crucial for us develop as a national team, eg 6 and 7 for a 5 year cycle meaning if we have an overseas player in either of those positions they count as 2 players towards the non federation trained quota. Drastic measures are called upon if we are to ever advance as a sport regards developing young players.
