Fili Seru - the Flying Fijian .... You've got to be joking right.
I remember Steve Prescott scoring a 80m try against Castleford at the Boulevard, think it was the dreaded 99 season.
Also remember players like Martin Hall, Steve Holgate, Alan Hunte etc come with big reputations and do absoloutly nothing.
Fonder memories include Horney, Kingy and dare i say it Cookey bringing some much needed passion into the side of 99

The fight back against Halifax!
Hallas scoring after Horney's try had been disallowed.
God knows how such a small crowd made so much noise!!

Strangely enough, i tend to have fond memories of those days!
After many a game i'd say " the boys where great today, we only lost by 6". . . oh how times and expectations have changed!
Favourite memory is Prekkies try against Cas, Length of the feld, i started celebrating when he got to the half way line!

Glen Tomlinson too.
I'm still shocked at how crap alan Hunte was for us back then. He scored an awesome try away to Sheffield (?), then did naff all.

Remember another waste of space Matt Calland signing from Bradford think he played 1 game then retired only play again at a lower level a couple of years later.
Remember 1st home game of the 99 season a young Stuart Fielden going blow to blow with Rob Roberts in front the the threepenny stand; how those 2 careers would differ in the coming years.
