To be honest i think out away following has grown quite a lot over the last few years, its not massive but i recon its 1 in every 3 fans go away from home.
How to improve our away following?
The club provide travel (which they do) but advertise the fact in the MEN and advertiser and give the fans notice so for example in the MEN this week it should be mentioned every day with the amount it costs, the advertiser is different as it comes out on a thursday id mention Wakefield but id put a big add in for Castleford the week after.
Send Emails to everyone saying there is travel available.
A bigger discount for pre booked tickets would be good. The club get the money in the bank and if people have already bought a ticket they are unlikely to be put off by the weather etc. The current £2 off is not a massive incentive to pre book imo.

To be fair, I think it depends where we are playing, all clubs travel well to local games, for example we always take decent numbers to; Wire, Wigan etc but when we go to; Hull, London, France and now Celtic we will never travel in greats numbers. It is just too far for some people.

Possibly a good idea would be the club to have a look at Leigh`s free season ticket for under 11`s , personally I think its a great idea, we`ve took advantage of that and not paying for the lad on the day makes a differance.
We won`t be going to all Leigh`s game but they get an extra few quid out of me through the season, which is what its all about.
Salford should be thinking about something similer for next season.
Btw I do think the Salfords kids season ticket is good value , but if we are to improve crowds this is one way hopefully to achieve that.

Yes but how often do we take 1000 plus away? Not very I'd say.
