It would involve restructuring the league(s) format otherwise.

Given the current cup format, increasing the division to 14-16 teams (and the s##tstorm that would bring), or playing (say) Whitehaven 4 times in the league, I'm not sure what I'd prefer.

Neither. Clubs won't want a reduction in games, but a bigger division one would lead to the quality being hugely diluted (think NFP here). And we'll be seeing more than enough of our divisional rivals over the next three years as it is

No ideal solution but, once people get the jist of the current format and the fact that it actually is a bit tricker to qualify (lose a couple of games and you're in trouble) and it might catch on.

I'd probably like to increase the size of the league, but that would be grossly unfair on supporters of 5 Championship One sides - unless you suddenly introduce another half dozen 'development' teams. They are currently talking of a development officer in Jamaica - now there's an away trip!! I bet there'd be no problem enticing twenty superannuated Aussies to a club there!

They can see it , but they dont believe it , because it is a ' vibrant ' competition , in the same way as the Co-op Championships are more ' vibrant ' than the Co-op NL's because of the inclusion of a French team

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Which is possibly true , but then a match against W1g4n [ even a friendly ] or a match against Widnes or Fax maybe should be worth more

And somebody else who suggested that " if W1g4n ever play one game at the LSV " he will never set foot inside it again

I did try to point out that it was out of the clubs control but he was adamant that the board should refuse permission for this to happen or resign

When Saints played there first freindly against Widnes they were charging £17 now considering LSV is 1000% better than KR, how could they justify that?????

Just seen The Publican post on another thread that he had been told that the ticket machine broke down at 1375 sales and that there were nearer 1800 on. I am also unsure as to whether corporates are included in attendance figures. Over to you Mr Andrew Parkinson

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!

I probably should know better Fred, but as your quotes above were specifically aimed at me, I thought I may give you an insight to what I have actually done for my club this week . I have managed to persuade my company to donate 2,000 bottles of natural sports and energy drinks to Leigh RL, completely free of charge and without obligation that will help our players to keep up their performance by being fully hydrated. Would that be deemed as helping my club? Now if you still require proof I suggest you contact Mr Bradshaw as I personally spoke to him on this matter this morning.

As I say, there is no doubt you provide an invaluable service to the club for little or no return and it is to your credit but I suppose Fred it would be rather 'foolish' of me to assume that other people on here do not provide equal or indeed in some cases more assistance than either of us.

Also don't worry Fred, I don't expect any kind of apology

Official drink of Rugby League, I believe.

If true, how long is it before we're paying a fiver for battered Mars bars at the LSV?
