To be fair Ainscough was a decent winger with deceptive speed and tough. It was when he played at centre he was poor.

Oooohh, wouldn't mind one of those beauties !!!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Radio 5 Live, Sat, April 14th, 2007,...Dave Whelan, "In Wigan, rugby will always be king"

'I was certain, positive, convinced, and yet..........unsure'

'It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it'

That was the problem, that limp.

1- Luisi Sione (After dark)
2- Desi Williams
3- Martin Aspinwall (Never a centre in memory of George Mann)
4- David Vaeliki
5- Jon Whittle
6- Phil Jones
7- Dennis Moran
8- Ricky Bibey
9- Mark Reber
10- Brady Malam
11- Oliver Wilkes
12- Tim Jonkers
13-Dave Allen

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

I think he only ever had a trial with us, don't think he ever signed or played.

23 - 20 - 4

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Phil Jones was a decent player and fully deserved selection ahead of Matty Johns.

I remember when Johns was out injured for Castleford away and Jones replaced him. Jones ended up scoring a hat trick and Man of the match before being dropped the week after by Endacott.

Luckily for Jones, he was offered a VERY good contract to play for Orrell RU.

I remember that now, couldnt think of any crap stand offs though so just picked him because he didnt play much.
