I hope you all noticed that the little scoreboard was displaying the clock today.

We've considered that, but it would have to linked to the timekeeper to have any real value. At Least a clock give people a general idea of when the game is going to finish, without being misleading in any way.

Even considering that, personally I'd prefer a countdown clock as it's rare for a game to kick off at bob on 3 o'clock. They have the countdown clock on the scoreboard at the JJB for non-Sky games and it simply 'turns off' once it hits 40 minutes in each half (not that any home fans are there to see the previous five minutes )
