Might as well start the season as I mean to go on with a moan. Everyone understands how vaulable sponsors are to us as a club but that announcing of every sponsor under the sun during lulls in the match last night was ridiculous. Fair enough when someone has scored or kicked a goal but please give it a rest and let us watch the game the rest of the time, it felt like being at the hockey. And while we're on the 'new and improved' PA system can we stop having the viking song played every 5 minutes and the bloke shouting at us to get behind them. We might not be very successful but we've got some self respect let's not turn into Bradford!

Got to say thought they have changed the music and it didnt seem to bad, also thought that the fact that Norman Collier didnt make an apperence when he was announceing all the sponors was also a step in the right direction.

I still think it was too loud in the Shed.... although my main wish would be to turn off the music completely 5 minutes before the teams come out. There were attempts to get things going, but being in competition with the extremely loud sound system means that it's kind of pointless trying.

If we do insist on playing music up to kick off.... then please stay clear of that repetitive dance type tune that just seems to drone on and on and on.

I've said it before and I will say it again, play Brian and Michael about 2 or 3 mins before they come out, it will get the atmosphere going and it is something to sing along to. Then turn it off completely!

Boreing old fart

was going to start a debate on this but someone got there before me.

1. nice to see the sound quality has improved, at last.

2. music / noise, needs to be turned of 2 mins before the players come out onto the pitch before the game starts, so the fans in the shed and round the ground can get there vocals going, they not going to do that if its being drowned out by music/noise, as was proved last nite it was v quite in the shed before kick off, as every time it got going , it seamed the music / noise on the tanoy system was turned up.

im sure if the players can here the fans above them its gets them going even more before a ball is kicked.

3. not bothered about the sponsers being named during the lull, think it will only happen when we on sky, not during a normal match.

4. GET RID OF THE MUSIC AT THE END OF THE MATCH.

the fans want to show there feelings to the players by singing the prasies and not been drowed out by a bloody song for ten mins, there is no need for it.

Just to bring this back a little to the empasis of the original post: the overbroadcasting of the sponsors could be counterproductive. If my business was sponsoring whatever, and I was watching the game on TV, and when my business was being mentioned I heard a big groan from the crowd, I'm not sure whether I'd be particularly pleased.

Other than that, no real qualms and the system seems improved.

Whilst i'm on the moan-athon thread I'd like to moan about the score board, yes I know they've fixed all the lights but could someone please sort out the name of our club on there!
