The longer he stays in Oz the longer, I suspect, I will be vindicated.

I see your point mate but i'd still like to see him here because you can never have too many quality players imo.
I think he's got a good chance of winning his appeal and would expect him to be here within a couple of months.

If Leeds do OK, then big lump of dosh saved.

Personally I'd like to see Westerman in a Leeds shirt, but I don't think it'll happen. Seems he's happy to stay a Tigger and win feck all than prove he can step up and win trophies & enhance his international selection credentials.

Isn't the Eastwood deal three years ?

Isn't Westerman's latest contract three years ?

I presume that player contracts would a have a clause that should his employers not be in SL, then they would become a 'free agent' ?

Has the Cas-Dome started being built yet and if not, given the current on-going economic situation, is it now more or less likely when compared to when it was announced ?

The bottom line is Westerman, anyone else half decent that a few teams have got might become available just at the time when Greg Eastwood is off home again ?

IMO the two best Leeds players, against wakey, were Kirke and JJB so I don't think we are lacking in the second row department.

Eastwood played from last March till the end of November so maybe this added rest could be a blessing in disguise come the end of the season?

If things were to go completely t1ts up I think we would be better signing a prop due to the workload on Peacock and the recent questions over Bailey's ability.

I'm not cynical, just well informed

Interchange prop wouldn't be an alternative replacement to Eastwood as that was the role he was most likely to fill anyway.

IF the Eastwood deal is off, after watching Westwood Vs Saints on Friday night i'd be happy to get him (if he played like that week in / week out!).

now then LS16 hope all is good with you mate?

imo if there was one playing position that this situation would effect leeds the least i would say backrow as this is where we are strongest. we have 5 back rowers in the squad and peacock can also play there. i think having eastwood especialy in attack would be awesome no doubt but him not coming right now effects us less than hull not getting crocker and the dulls not getting bird.

eastwood was a nice addition to the squad

A prop from where though, all the best players will be contracted.

He's only a young lad he has plenty of time to sign for a bigger club, although I would love to see him don the Blue and Amber.
