It amazes me why supporters of Hull and Hull KR plus any others who jump on the badnwgaon, would be bothered with salford's attendances or that of any other club for that matter.
So a crowd of just over 4000, well how shocking!! As a Salford supporter, I really don't give a damn what any other clubs attendances are.
Why not focus on your own clubs.
I am sure no one would have expected a massive crowd last night, not with a club with zero travveling support (aplogies to any Celtic fans who did go!)

What is it with Hull fans on here and their obsession with attendances? You guys pop up all over the place and comment on how many turn up to games. Are you like the trainspotters of RL or something? Out with your little notebooks and writing down numbers?

Something that it strikes me not really being mentioned is the fact that Wales were playing England in the 6 nations at virtually the same time. And anyone worth his salt understands the importance that fixture has in the eyes of the Welsh sporting public as a whole never mind the floating rugby fans who enjoy both codes (as there is indeed many), what could potentially have been a bonus was for the Welsh fans not lucky enough to have been at the game in Cardif to continue watching good rugby on the TV when the game finished, it's just unfortunate that CC didnt start the game of anything like I suspect they will play like a little further down the line.
Seems to me a rank bad idea on the part of Sky and maybe the clubs to play the game on a Saturday that coincided with Valentines day and the 6 nations.

Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"

Well done lads good win to blow the SL cob webs off, dont worry the hoards of fans will soon be flocking back, just like the supporters did on humberside after they'd finished filming the "hills have eyes".

Ironic that you chose to end your post with the words "embarrassing myself" because yes, you are.
To be honest I was a little disappointed by our attendance last night. After the opening games of last season when we got much bigger gates than expected against the likes of Swinton I did hope we'd attract closer to 6k last night.
However, even that would've been low when compared to other SL crowds this weekend.
That said, as it's mainly Hull fans dishing out the abuse, I'd rather have 4000 fans that can support their team properly, rather than tens of thousands who think it's appropriate to pull the posts down or brawl with opposition fans on the pitch.
Who was it you were saying is a credit to the league?!?

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book
willowred wrote:You had a very poor crowd on the opening game of the season, yes we know the welsh wont bring many and yes it was valentines day but that is no excuse Yes you won the game but if it wasn't for the crusaders you would be wooden spoonists this season, so i reckon you've got alot to thank them for
Lets wait and see, I think there will be a couple of clubs below us come the end of the season

This lot are priceless aren't they.
Judging by the fact you only beat us by 2 points the other week i bet your thankful celtic are in SL proping up the table as if they weren't maybe you would be.
Now take your brain cell off to Bradford!
