When ego's looked to start getting in the way he took action, see Beckam, Giggs, Scholes and Sharpe.
Our coach seems happy to throw out the excuse to the press players have ego's and agendas, but unable to, or unwilling to do anything about it.
Why is this the case?
the question is has he got a hairdryer, and bet he hasn't,
in my case with our club would I expect us to to sack John Kear if we have had the same start , no because we don't have the money and he has been the best coach we have had so would be foolish to, as your club are always looking further up the league than us I can understand the disappointment to the start but are you panicking as what coach is available bar for hanley, makes me wonder why he left donny last year
We play a boring style of rugby but it can be very effective too. I'm a bit happier with Noble after the Hull game to be honest. We played a lot better than we did v Wakefield and the game could have gone either way. We just didn't finish off our opportunities, but I'm confident that we will start doing once the season kicks in. I'm waiting a couple of games before I nail my colours to the mast on this issue, if we get turned over by Cas and Harlequins Noble should probably update his C.V

I agree. Quite a few mistakes in attacking positions which gave us the ball back !!
No doubt you will strengthen as the season progresses.Too early to begin worrying !

If you are happy with the last 2 years fair play, i am not people have different standards and opinions.
Did you back Millward until he was replaced?
Firstly where did i criticize you for having a go at the way pro rugby has gone??
Yes i am happy with the last 2 years but would hope that this year we make at least 1 final and hopefully win.
Unlike some i support Wigan RLFC or whatever name they want to go under i do not and never will come on here or any public forum and say i hope we get beaten that to my mind is not only undermining the coach but the team as well. Thanks for you PM by the way it was very interesting.
The thing i did have a pop at you for was your original statementin this thread. And yes i did back Millward and his team as at the time they were running the club it took 6 years to run the club down to the point where B.N took over and its taken less than 3 to turn the corner and start our way back to the top.
You should back the club all the way or walk away and support another club. You Mentioned Man United in another post well just look at the way they started this season and look where they are now.
Best Wigan No7 ever Terry Newton Wigan legend RIP

I'd be disappointed to see McIllorum leave, but one of either Riddell, LuLu, S.Tomkins, McIllorum would have to go. Its un-imaginable that Riddell, Tommy, Tonkins would leave, so that really does leave MM in the mire.

Spot on.
Where is the loyal support we had in 2006? When we didn't criticize anyone*? When we were 100% behind the team, the club?
We need to STOP criticizing, STOP being so "doom and gloom" and for a change get behind the team, get behind the players, get behind Noble (as hard as that is for some people).
I like many others on here, doesn't just support the team, I support the club. It's about time people on here followed suite.
I can accept there will be criticism, it's part and parcel of being a fan, but come on. I come on here everyday to see another 2/3 threads having yet another pop at the club. And we wonder why we're labelled fickle fans?
Jonh I can see your POV, your opinion I feel is wrong, but you are entitled to it. Maybe, if we lose to Cas and Quins, the whole point of this thread (noble out) will be more valid.
*I know we did when we were getting spanked week in week out - but we need the support we had in 2006

If we continue to back people that are failing then we as a club will continue to fail. If we continues to back Millward then we would have had a spell in NL1, simply because they have the position is not a reason to support them to the hilt regardless of what is happening.
The performances have been poor for much of his time in charge. This year so far we have been beaten by a team that came 11th last year, missing 2 key players and there marquee signing from the NRL. We have been beaten by a club that could only field 17 full time players and who struggled last year.
Lets not pretend all is well and we are moving in the right direction as we are not.
I want the best for Wigan RLFC and if I think looking at the bigger picture a loss next week will be to the benefit of the club.
Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

It's getting silly now. People will read all this doom and gloom and believe it. I've read Phil Bailey described as dead wood, people believe what they read.
There is so much parity in SL now that bad patches will occur for most clubs, reality is we've moved forwards under Noble leadership.
The issue is, has he taken us as far as he can under his style of play, maybe the game has changed since he won everything with Bradford. For me, he's still the man for the job and deserves at least until the end of the season.

.
That's the salary cap, we had bad patches last season but came within a whisker of making the grand final. We're getting better year on year, they didn't build Rome overnight.

I'd agree with that, the issue certainly is has he taken us as far as he can? Jury is still out on that one IMO, but I certainly expect him to be here until the end of the season.
As for his time at Bradford, Noble had the perfect squad for his tactics, big and mobile forwards pack. With big but quick centres/wingers and quick half-backs. His squad's physical attributes suited his tactics and gameplan perfectly.
