 Freezing cold Saturday night that happens to be Valentines night playing a new team from the other end of the country could the scheduling have possibly been any worse, given all that I thought the crowd was ok.

Not a bad game, sounded a decent atmosphere on TV.

Well done Salford on the win.

Celtic played some good RL but they need to start games fully switched on, but they are being competitive.

The referee Albert has made a lot of improvement from the performances I've seen from him in the past, going full time has done him a world of good.

You are not for one second suggesting that Salford fans would prefer to take their missus/ girlfriend out are Ya..................This is stretching credulity somewhat. Dont you think

17% up on Salford's last Saturday evening televised Superleague game (v Bradford). A step in the right direction no?

Nice to see that in 4 pages on this thread we've managed a handful of comments on the game. I think both teams showed that they can play good rugby in patches but need to up the intensity and consistency.

It was a most entertaining game, and I'd agree with your analysis. As Alexs Dad has already pointed out, Myler looks a great prospect. Celtic need to learn how to start a game, but showed some very good rugby when they finally warmed to the pace.

The atmosphere seemed good – and it was interesting to see Thierry Alibert have a very good, confident (he's not scared to make a call himself) game in charge after all the claims about how awful he is and how he can't speak the lingo etc.

I thought he did alright. When he reffed us last year he really did seem to rely on the touchies (or crowd) far too much but backed himself last night. Don't know how he'll go with the likes of Leeds and Saints where he'll have players in his face after every decision.

No the players don't do that!

I know they don't because according to the majority of posters on this site the players are lttle angels and NEVER EVER do anything wrong!

My thoughts too.

They'll improve and pick up a few scalps along the way, same goes for Salford.

When Celtic finally got to grips with the speed of the game , They started to cause Salford some problems . I like Celtics expansive style of rugby there trying to play.
