First half kicks in general play were pretty good. Second half...well, we know the rest.

The kicking from Briers in the first half was good - for me he did what he was sent out to do - kick into space with a good collective chase to follow in an attempt to contain Saints.

As for the second half - Saints got a roll on and totally dominated, Briers can't be blamed for that.

There were people around me who were slagging Briers off before a ball was kicked ''he has no vision'' was one particularly moronic comment, ''Long wouldn't do that''. Shortly after Long kicks straight to Riley and Breirs puts a well executed kick into the left corner.

One problem with our last tackle kicking game in general is that we are too often very slow at getting up to play the ball, especially compared to Saints, this gives the opposition ample time to organise their line and as they know it's going to Briers, as Monas is MIA, apply pressure on him.
