21 year old lad in driving over the speed limit shocker
I am not defending him but he won't be the first young lad with a bad record of speeding and he won't be the last!
Surely if it was down to his driving convictions conditions could have been placed on his visa banning him from driving when over here rather than simply saying "no"

It was the reference to a "string of speeding convictions". I allow anyone the chance to cock up once (though I would make an exception for incest or violent crimes) but to repeat it smacks of stupidity.

Did Eastwood (or his agent) tell us about his previous when we entered in to contract talks with him in the middle of last year ?
We should also go back to the point of when the paperwork was lodged with the British Embassy in Canberra .... Have they been sat on the documents since we signed him months ago or was the brown envelope handed to them a couple of weeks ago ?
What has our MP done about it ?
Was he applying for a passport or visa or both ?
On the plus side, I can see it being well in to the season before he gets here and that will just give us the right sort of boost for the run on the Challenge Cup. All being well, we're going to get a fresh player just at the time in the season when some of the rest of the squad will be starting to take a few knocks.

so you drive under the speed limit every second that you're in your car? wouldn't like to be in a car with you, as you either drive stupidly slowly, or every few seconds your looking down at the speedo rather then the road ahead.

The word "limit" in the phrase "speed limit" is actually the maximum speed that you can legally drive to - there is no minimum speed unless you're on a motorway, hence there is no such thing as "stupidly slowly". You'll also find that if you stop trying to treat speed limit signs as compulsory speeds then you won't need to keep checking your speedo.
