Gidley's foot movement was awesome tonight, awesome steps at times.

Gidleys decision making is just about the best I have ever seen in a Saints shirt. He invariably makes the right choice, everytime.

On top of that defensively he is superb.

King OTOH is just shocking, his attempted 'tackle' on Gardner in his late run was embarrassing.

Gidley was awesome again last night in attack and defence, the try saving tackle on Anderson was a beauty. What has happened to King though, he looks slow and lazy in defence and makes no impression going forward with the ball, from test/origin NRL superstar to that in 18 months

Gidley will go down as one of Super League's best ever imports. He is ultra consistent. He is a very special player who does all the simple things perfectly. He combines that with quality in terms of a flick pass, an angled run to score or a great try saver like the one on Anderson yesterday. We've been lucky as hell to have Lyon and then Gidley at Centre for the last 5 years.

Awesome player.

The thing is Penny at present isn't a great allround player, but is a spectacular finisher. He is playing outside a so called World Class centre, but is getting no service and exposed in defence.
