Hooker. Not a bad effort from someone with no pre-season run-out to put in 80 minutes in a very demanding position and have a virtually flawless game. He didn't impose himself as he can and has, but that wasn't what was needed tonight. What was was good distribution and good marshalling of the defence down the middle. He did both exceptionally well.

and whilst i'm happy we've made a good start, i think theres better sides in the league than Wigan, who gave us the ball back from mistakes a lot. A good start but i hope we build and improve on that start.

but defense was much better, kicking was better, and Cusack did something other than just plod slowly into the defensive line.

still think we need another centre as well, G Horne had a good game, but i just feel a pacey/creative centre would really improve our side

Yes they will gel but there was some good signs tonight. Horney got his usual try and he always backs up as well which we never did last year..
