Nah. That's too harsh. We clicked about 20 minutes from the end, because for a nanosecond we were allowed to by a mistake of yours, and then we went into Fast and Furious mode, the mode we Saints fans love to watch, and we get extremely slippery at that point. Up to then, Wire were in control for most of the game and certainly had us beat with the kick. Find an answer to our Fast and Furious mode and you've got us.
Or wait another year when Long and Cunningham are no longer around and Pryce may end up sleeping the whole of each match and you'll walk right over us!

I think this was the key area. When Cunningham came on for his second spell, he started scooting against lazy/tired/ non agressive markers. At Warrington, marker is a place to have a breather, if you are too slow or tired to get back into the line. Scooting down the middle pulled the forwards in , leaving the centres in space and isolated.
Johnson showed that he isn't a centre...and is past his best.
King showed that he is pedestrian, passive and lacks any sign of ability.
Add to that two half backs who can't/won't run forwards and take on the line or even talk to each other and its a recipe for a long unsuccesful season.

It certainly did seem as if we lost all ability to keep up with the pace and firepower of the Saints. Can't believe the effort that was put in in the first half just couldnt be replicated in the second. Gidley's try changed the game and I knew full well that we would be struggling to hang on from there on in. Dissappointed, but at the end of the day, I cant say I turned up at Knowsley Road expecting a Wire win.

It may be for you guys but not for many of us. At half time and beyond me and a goodly crowd around me seriously thought we were going to lose that match. In fact, the prospect of being nilled at home by Wire was looking decidedly possible. So you guys might have thought it was obviously Groundhog Day but not all of us did!
The biggest fault at Warrington is the type of players we buy.Our squad has far too many forwards in it.The result is that when players are injured, other players are being played out of position.Riley is a winger, not a fb,Johnston is a 2nd rower, not a centre,Monaghan is a hooker, not a hb and the list goes on over the past few seasons.
The club needs sorting out from players who dont give a toss,to players who are injury prone,to the manager who is there just to fill a position,to the board that is just a clique (Hoyle,Broomhead?) to the inept running of the souvenir shop. The club is a shambles from top to bottom and will win nothing with the present status quo.Another defeat awaits next saturday.
And finally, well done to Jimmy Lowes for just about crushing the last remaining bits of confidence that Kevin Penney had,by taking him off with 10 minutes to go.All he needs is a decent centre inside him and a defensive coach to teach him.For his own good, the sooner KP goes to Saints or Wigan, the better he will become as a player.
