We didn't look fit enough to me.
Yes it's game one, but international class players shouldn't concede 6 unanswered tries in less than 40 minutes, that's shocking!
As for King & Monaghan.........
"The Warrington people hadn't had success for a few years, but there's no speccy in the world as good. They are very knowledgeable and appreciative of hard work. What they like is honesty. They want the team to try; if they fail they fail, but they expect honesty. They know when players don't put it in."
Can't agree that we were pethetic, we did a good containing job first 40 and took the opportunity to take a good lead. At 14-0 we should have kicked on but as we know over the years Saints can turn a game so easily against us.
Thought in the main the majority of the forwards did well but not a lot came from the backs unfortunately, with Briers and Monas very quiet, they will need to step their game up if we are to do well.
Higham had a good debut and I thought he was odds on for MOM until Saints got into gear.
i thought we got hit for 6 tonight, Roby, Graham, Pryce, Long, Gidley,Wellens, to be precise, Saints went to these big game players so much in the second half as they tore us up, abig second half they delivereed. our "big game " players went missing. Not Good Enough!

Wire weren't that bad. We only started playing in the last 20 minutes. For an hour you kept us quiet.
