No no no no no no no some of you lot have short memories, this scumbag shat on the club, fellow team mates and most of all us THE FANS of club when he paraded around in that bastardised shirt just 6 games into the 2007 season and then expected to play on in the the famous cherry and white for the rest of the season.
Theres ways and means of leaving a club, and doing it in a way not to offend should be at the top of the list. But this five fingered knuckle shuffler couldn't give a monkeys.
When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

The Mirror 30/10/09 How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...
20th: Wigan The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.
think ashton was badly treated by Mo at first - Mo went public with figures that I understand were completely wide of the mark. Dont blame Ashton for taking more cash when he was one of brightest talents in british rugby - both codes.
ashton on other hand failed to put it in and really let the fans down later on.
I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league Doom and gloom, doom and gloom

Stop beating about the bush and say what you really think !!!!
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......
I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Not a chance. Cocky little poop stirrer isn't worthy of the wearing the C&W ever again.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions
Voted yes but as a squad player. Wouldn't get in the first team bar injuries. Same way I would treat Mathers. Ashton is a far better player than Mathers.

Some people on here must be so fickle, hypocritycal and have very short memories. Is this the same fella who was pictured in a RU shirt before he left you and was booed for the remaining months every time he touched the ball.(That's being generous, some were wishing the worst on him).

Did you forgive Sean Long for betting against his own club?
At least Ashton had the excuse of being young and naive to pose for that photo...
