Am looking at trying to buy my veg and meat from a Farm Shop as they are supposed to be better quality and cheaper.
Just wondering if anyone has been/know if there is a decent one in the Wigan/Standish area.

Get your meat from Chadwick's in Standish.

It's more of a family butcher, but absolute quality.

have drove past it but i thought it was just a cafe now. Is it cheaper than a supermarket. I guess the quality is better?

I went to a farmers market @ holland hall last year which was excellent. as for a farm shop for meat, there is a place out near ormskirk (bit further than wigan/standish) called Forsters Organic Meats (i think thats the name). we bought some stuff from them @ the market at it was top quality



chadwicks is good but its a complete rip off. one of the stalls on the market is cheaper and is of comparible quality

chadwicks is very expensive compared to what you would pay in a supermarket. morrisons is the best supermarket for quality of meat but it is always going to be better from a farm/independant butcher
