I like SWP, I think Chelsea were foolish to sell him. You look at the lack of energy in the side this year, his direct running style and willingness to go at and beat defenders has been sadly missed.

Having said all this, it's very difficult to access how good SWP really is of course, that is, until he goes to La Liga and then we can all make assesments once he has truely been tested.

City will sign no one of note in the summer. All they will end up with are mercenaries, not in the top bracket of players. Bona fide world class players like Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka, Ribery etc, wouldnt touch city with a bargepole.

We could also have signed Kaka if we were willing to pay him enough.

:)

Kaka said "no" like the others. Not bad for the 20th richest club in the world.

We were one of the poorest a couple of years ago. If you wish hard enough, you may find all of your debt disappear. :) Unlikely in this recession though and your debt is probably the equivalent of the GDP of an East African state.

I cannot believe that they refer to it as a 'rich list'. It's income generation. Granted United make a lot of money but you only have to see how much having a CL spot increases a clubs annual income. It's quite conceivable that one or two of the current top 4 could miss out on CL football in the next couple of years. Be interesting to see how they cope in terms of finances.

Giggs is still producing enough moment of quality to warrant a new contract and I reckon the majority of Utd fans are happy to see him sign for another year.

However not being a proper Utd fan you won't be interested in my opinion, much like i'm not interested in yours.

According to the Arsenal Chairman, when I heard him interviewed, he claimed that Arsenal do not plan with CL Qualification in mind, and that added revenue from the CL is exactly that, as oppose to a requirement like it was at say, Leeds United. How true this is, i'm not sure, but that's what he claimed.

Jeez, let's hope not.

I see more lies from our club in the last few days from Llambias, be interesting to see the spin that Ashley's worshippers put on that then.
