A rumour on an australian fans board

Sing a song of Yorkshire, from the Humber to the Tees
Of cricket, rugby, beer, of pudding and of cheese
I know no other county where the land is quite so fine
England's lovely county. And I'm proud to call it mine

Where shining purple heather stretches far across the moor
And the lapwing's cry above me takes the place of traffic roar
And peace comes drifting gently, there's no place I'd rather be
Than this land of hills and valleys, from the Pennines to the sea

So when I've done my roaming, and when my step grows slow
When heart and mind assure me that the time has come to go
Then let me rest in Yorkshire, for its there I want to lie
'Neath sun and wind and heather... and a gleaming Yorkshire sky

In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

you'd think that sort of thing would have helped his visa, I do wonder if we had no one else lined up why we didn't appeal on the visa too, what was there to lose by doing so?

A SEASON of bush football in north Queensland looms as the most likely way back to rugby league for former Canberra bad boy Todd Carney.

Carney has exhausted all National Rugby League options and, with the door closed on a British Super League deal, his management is investigating a possible move to the Atherton Roosters.

The Roosters, who play in the 10-team Cairns District Rugby League, have emerged as leading contenders for the former Raider after offering a package believed to be worth almost $100,000.

Canberra last year sacked the halfback following several off-field indiscretions and the NRL later de-registered the 22-year-old.
